Leighton Buzzard Living Room Design & Chorleywood Bedroom Updates

This week I’ve been working on a living room design for some clients in Leighton Buzzard. The room is currently having a wood burning stove installed, and we’re coming up with a design that is warm and cosy and reflects it’s countryside setting, but that will also have a light and contemporary feel. To achieve this, we’re using natural colours, linens, oak and some sumptuous texture to help create that cosy feel. The scheme is yet to be finalised as there are a few main fabrics in the running, but we’ll be deciding soon, so watch this space for progress.

The bedroom and guest bedroom project in Chorleywood reached it’s decoration stage this week. Farrow & ball ‘Elephant’s Breath’ went on the walls, which is the perfect warm, neutral background for all the amazing fabrics we’ll be using in these spaces.

In the main bedroom, we also painted two of the walls in Farrow & Ball ‘Elephant’s Breath’, but used this Designers Guild wallpaper on one wall, and Farrow & Ball ‘Stiffkey Blue’ on the wall behind the bed. I love dark inky blues – people are understandably often wary of using such a strong colour, but you’d be amazed at how many places this colour will work.

In the next few week’s we’ll be installing the curtains, blinds and headboard, and we’ll be dressing the space with cushions and other accessories. Keep an eye out for any updates!

Hope you all have a lovely restful weekend.
