Photoshoot, Award Nomination & Renovation Site Visit

This week I’ve managed to get back to see a project that we completed earlier this year to style the room and photograph it. It’s so important to get back to completed projects to do this as photos taken on a phone simply don’t do a room justice It is so worth taking the time to get the lighting right styling the room and using a decent camera.

Here are some of the items we used to dress the space.

Here’s a sneak preview of what the room looked like, but keep an eye out for an upcoming post, with the full shoot.

And not to be forgotten, but we had a very special helper on set of the shoot – Millie, the labrador, who had been bought a new bed that tied in with the scheme. Here she is proudly modelling it for us.

So, there’s been some very exciting new this week – I’ve been nominated for an Amara Interior Blog Award! Specifically, the best Interior Designer Blog category. The voting opens in August, so keep your eyes peeled for appeals of support from me!

This week saw us visiting one of our clients to see the progress of a big renovation project that we are working on. These bifold doors lead off the main living room into the soon to be landscaped garden. We’re currently working on the living room and bedroom design, and I’m really excited about the ideas so far.

Well, it’s been a really exciting week all round, so we’re looking forward to a weekend spent relaxing with good friends. Hope you all have a great one too.
