Linden House

We designed this open plan living space and garden room for our clients who wanted to replace the existing conservatory. By creating a more substantial structure with bi-folding doors that open out onto the garden and swimming pool, and by opening the space up into the living room, with comfortable seating and wood burning stove, the family now have a fantastic space that can be enjoyed in both the Summer and the Winter months.

We used a colour palette of greys, soft blues and both bright and pale turquoise – the room has a very calm, sophisticated feel. To keep the room child friendly, we used practical, easy to clean, robust fabrics, and laid wooden flooring with the inevitable mud that will be walked in from the garden in mind. Into the main living space, we laid a large bespoke rug beneath the seating to add warmth and comfort – again chosen in a practical, easy to clean fibre.
