Seaview, Isle of Wight

Having worked with the client on their family home in Harpenden, they asked if we could help them with their holiday home renovation on the Isle of Wight. This was a total transformation of a seaside property in a town that was close to their hearts so we knew it had to be special. The brief was to create a fun holiday home, with a contemporary classic feel, reflecting the beachy, sea side location.

Being involved from the early build stages meant that we were involved in everything from flooring, sanitary ware and even ensuring all sockets were in the right place. It meant we could truly plan the space and room layouts to include practical yet stylish storage solutions for family living and create a home from home.

To bring the seaside feel inside, we worked with blues, greys and natural wood tones and chose a light stone flooring downstairs to keep the light flowing through the open plan space. We built stud walls in the two front bedrooms so we could position the beds to allow the clients to gaze out to sea from the comfort of their beds. Using a combination of bespoke fitted furniture and painted freestanding furniture we allowed for practical storage without cluttering the rooms.
