Hertfordshire | Private Client

We designed this classic, contemporary living room for our client who wanted to create a sophisticated and luxurious feel. As the formal living room would mostly be used to socialise and relax in, lots of comfortable seating was key. We wanted to create a really sociable space, so had a bespoke large corner sofa, love seat and oversized upholstered coffee table made. These fit the space perfectly and allow lots of people to sit together comfortably – perfect for entertaining! Sticking to a palette of greys with subtle hints of soft lilac and blue, we used contrasting textures to add interest to the space. We then dressed the space – my signature style of candles, hydrangeas and carefully selected accessories that pick up the tones and textures in the fabrics.

We also designed our client’s nursery, which she wanted to be contemporary and light. To ensure it would stand the test of time we avoided using a sugary pink colour on the wall and used grey tones instead, a really versatile and contemporary colour. We then added in pops of colour with some fun fuchsia pink cushions. The nursery is at the top of the house and has a sloping ceiling, so we had to be inventive with the use of the space. We used a simple white bench and created a low seating bench with upholstered top – this added some colour and softness to the room, but also some much needed storage for toys.
